Raise a glass, because it’s time for Oktoberfest! And while there aren’t a lot of traditional celebrations happening this year, two Pittsburgh businesses are helping you get in the spirit – in the comfort of your own home.
Wigle Whiskey
On Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 29, Wigle Whiskey is turning their Wigle Drive Thru into an Oktoberfest celebration!
Their Oktoberfest Drive Thru special will feature four beer brats, six cheese-and-potato pierogies with sour cream, barrel-fermented caraway sauerkraut, and a savory German-style potato salad.
Each special also includes a 375 mL bottle of Wigle’s latest release, O’Zapft is Whiskey, which has been distilled from Penn Brewery’s Oktoberfest Beer.
Packages are $65 each, and can be purchased online.
Bierport
Bierport is teaming up with Chantal’s Cheese Shop and Axel’s Pretzels for an “at home Oktoberfest” pick up event with beer, pretzels, and bier cheese.
Place your orders now to pick up your Oktoberfest pack on Friday, September 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bierport.
Each package costs $30, and contains two organic, locally-made German-style pretzels from Axel’s Pretzels, a bier cheese spread from Chantal’s, and four fall beers, which have been specially selected by the staff at Bierport.
Orders can be placed online, and must be made by Wednesday, September 23.
