Get your spoons ready for a chili cook off! The historic Braddock Carnegie Library is hosting their 10th annual Chili Cook Off on Saturday, March 25 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Entrance to the event includes a handmade ceramic bowl from Bathhouse Ceramic Studio for the sampling and voting process. As always, the event will be a full library party with music, raffles, and prizes for the best chili.
The chili cook off is a great reason to explore the Braddock library, which was built in 1888, and was the first Carnegie library in the United States. The library was designed by William Halsey Wood, who also designed the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City.
The event is sponsored by Josh Steel, Studebaker Metals, Black Radish, and the Brew Gentlemen, with the Brew Gentlemen providing beer, and Black Radish providing bread and snacks. Tickets are $15 at the door, and $10 when purchased in advance, or by a Braddock library patron. The money raised will benefit Braddock Library’s community programming.
More information on the event and instructions to enter the chili cook off can be found on the event page.
