Soba is celebrating Chuseok, Korea’s feast of the equinox, with a week of special tasting dinners, featuring dishes that represent the end of summer and the beginning of fall.
From Tuesday, September 28 through Friday, October 2, join them for a four-course dinner, with wine pairings.
On the menu:
First:
- Rolled shrimp omellete, green chili
- Chicken doenjang, chive salad
- Fermented tempura shiitake caps, nori
- Wine: Montinore Estate Gewurztraminer, Oregon 2012
Second:
- Pork and Shishito bun
- Scallion, crab salad, soft egg, herbs
- Somyeon noodles
- Wine: Parker Station Pinot Noir, California 2013
Third:
- Grilled mackerel
- Rice cake noodles, enkoi mushrooms, sweet potato
- Pang crumbs, Perilla kim chi
- Wine: La Linda Torrontes, Salta, Argentia 2013
Fourth:
- Pear and pine nut roulade
- Honey, strawberry, chestnut ice cream
- Wine: Erath Pinot Gris, Dundee, Oregon 2013
Seats are $40 per person, with an additional $25 for wine pairings.
