Local produce lovers, rejoice.
Citiparks has just announced the opening dates and times for all seven of their Pittsburgh farmers markets, plus new Downtown and Carrick market locations.
The first four markets (Mellon Square Park, East Liberty, South Side, and Downtown Pittsburgh) will open in early May, and three additional Citiparks markets (Squirrel Hill, Carrick, and Beechview) will open in June.
Here’s the official schedule:
- Mellon Square Park – Friday, May 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
- East Liberty (Station St. & North Euclid Ave.) – Monday, May 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- South Side (18th & Carson Streets) – Tuesday, May 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Downtown Pittsburgh (Mellon Square Park, Smithfield St. & Sixth Ave.) – Friday, May 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and North Side (East Park, E. Ohio St. & Cedar Ave.) from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Squirrel Hill (Beacon/Bartlett parking lot near Murray Ave.) – Sunday, June 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Carrick (Carrick Dairy District, 1529 Brownsville Rd.) – Wednesday, June 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Beechview (Broadway and Beechview Avenue) – Thursday, June 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
All Citiparks markets will sell local produce, meats, cheese and baked goods, with some markets also selling flowers and gardening items.
