Original Pittsburgh foodie Chris Fennimore is stepping back in time for a series of cooking demonstrations at the Heinz History Center.
The host of QED Cooks on WQED is will be cooking for a crowd at two upcoming cooking events that will celebrate the culinary cuisines of years past as part of the History Center’s new ‘Toys of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s’ exhibit.
On Wednesday, April 13, Fennimore will be showcasing internationally-inspired cuisine from the 1960s, including Swedish Meatballs and Onion Soup Mix Dip. Dishes from the 1970s’convenience era’ will be on display on Wednesday, May 25 when Fennimore tackles Crock-Pot inspired recipes.
Each event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on the third floor of the History Center in the Weisbrod Kitchen Classroom.
Tickets for are $15 for members, and $20 for non-members, and include sample bites, and a preview of the ‘Toys’ exhibit.
