Doce Taqueria announced on social media on Wednesday, September 18, that their new location on McKnight Road is officially open.
The business told Good Food Pittsburgh in March of 2019 their intention to turn the former Boston Market on McKnight Road into their second brick-and-mortar shop. The space is located next to PPG Paints, and across the street from Target.
The original Doce, located on East Carson Street in the South Side, opened in 2015. The owners had started a “Taco Tuesday” night at their sister-restaurant, Twelve Whiskey Barbecue. It became so popular that when the space next door to Twelve Whiskey became available, they turned the space into a tiny taco stand name Doce – twelve in spanish.
While the South Side shop has limited space, the McKnight shop offers an expansive dining area – with patio!
Doce also told Good Food Pittsburgh that the menu will remain similar to their South Side location, with the addition of two new vegan options and a fish taco. The full menu can be viewed online.
According to their website, the Doce McKnight is now open Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M., Friday – Saturday, 11:00 A.M. – Midnight.
