You and your pup now have a brand new place to spend some time together.
Dog Daze Cafe has officially opened in Upper Lawrencevile, and welcomes dogs of all breeds and sizes on their outdoor patio and deck area.
The cafe is part of the Big Easy Dog Daze boarding and dog daycare, and also features a full in-house veterinary hospital on site. The indoor/outdoor cafe space serves Cuban-style coffee drinks, like cortadito (espresso with a splash of steamed milk), cafecito (a Cuban coffee shot), and Cafe Bonbon (a specialty drink made with sweetened condensed milk, espresso, and milk foam or heavy whipping cream). You can also get hot chocolate, tea, and coffee from Grounds & Hounds, a Pittsburgh-based organic coffee company that donates 20% of all of their proceeds to animal rescue partners.
Fruit-based shakes called Batidos, made with fresh fruit like mangoes, papayas, and pineapples, and now on the menu, and Dog Daze Cafe will soon feature a food menu with Cuban pastries and empanadas.
The cafe is open from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.
