Pittsburghers now have a new way to get lunch (or dinner) delivered to their door, because DoorDash has officially launched in Pittsburgh.
Starting today, the San Francisco-based technology company will connect customers to more than 1,500 local restaurants that are part of the service, which delivers to Pittsburgh, Robinson Township, Green Tree, Bridgeville and Mt. Lebanon. Participating restaurants include national chains, like Wendy’s, Starbucks, Houlihan’s and PF Chang’s, along with local restaurants, like S&D Polish Deli, Beto’s Pizza, Primanti Bros., BRGR, Mad Mex, Nancy’s East End Diner, Kaya, Tamarind, tako, Senti, the South Side BBQ Restaurant and Gaucho Parilla Argentina.
Customers in the Pittsburgh area can order DoorDash between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. by logging onto their website, or downloading the DoorDash app for Android or iOS.
For the first two weeks of service in Pittsburgh, deliveries will cost $1.99, with free delivery for first-time users. The price per delivery will increase after that, and range from 99 cents to $7.99, and an additional service feel will be added to every order.
DoorDash currently operates in more than 600 cities across the country.
