Driftwood Oven, the roaming pizza truck known for their naturally-leavened wood-fired pizza and bread, is getting into the bread subscription business.
On Thursday, March 24, they’re launching a weekly subscription program, with pickup locations throughout the city.
The initial pilot program will run from Thursday until June 16, with another subscription program starting shortly after the Summer Solstice on June 23.
Subscribers can choose to receive one, two, or three loaves each week – and these aren’t just any loaves of bread. All of the grain for Driftwood’s bread is grown and ground at Weatherbury Farm in Avella, raised in a natural leaven, and baked in a wood-fired oven.
A one loaf subscription is $80. Bread pickup is available every Thursday after 2:00 p.m., at these locations:
- North Oakland: Legume Bistro (214 North Craig Street)
- Wilkinsburg: Garden Dreams (806 Holland Avenue)
- Greenfield: The Blazin’s (660 Loretta Street)
- Lawrenceville: Caffe D’Amore (5400 Butler Street)
