There are some changes happening in Highland Park.
Chef/owner Kate Romane just announced via Facebook that her restaurant, e2, which is known for its out-of-this-world handmade pastas and Sunday brunches, will be closing next month.
Romane writes “Due to a number of issues, e2 on Bryant Street will not be able to operate through the winter in its current location, and we have made the difficult decision to move on.”
Dining room services will run through Sunday, October 9, and Romane is still taking “Big Table” bookings for parties of 10-18 through Wednesday, October 26.
While the crew searches for a new home for e2, Romane writes that they’ll be catering and hosting pop ups out of a new location in Point Breeze called Black Radish Kitchen, and has plans for a ‘Sunday Sauce’ dinner event to happen in late November.
The restaurant, which has been named one of the country’s best brunch spots by Men’s Journal, and regularly makes Pittsburgh Magazine’s Best Restaurants list, first opened in 2010.
