Wexford, get ready for some meatballs.
Sienna Restaurant Group, the folks behind Sienna Mercato, have announced expansion plans of Emporio: A Meatball Joint, to Wexford.
They’ll be taking over the site of the former El Campesino at 11978 Perry Highway, and recreating Emporio, the meatball restaurant on the first floor of downtown Pittsburgh’s Sienna Mercato.
The 4,000 square-foot location will feature a glass patio with a retractable façade and garage doors for open air dining, and a full service bar with 32 draft lines.
Just like at the original location, the new Wexford spot will have a menu that centers around four different meatballs, including beef, spicy pork, vegetarian and turkey, to be paired with a choice of nine different sauces and four different serving options.
While a specific date hasn’t been announced yet, restaurant owners are aiming for a Fall 2015 open.

Food was so so. Better meatballs at Costco (Mancinis Meatballs ). Don’t appreciate waite staff with metal stuck in their face and nose. Small portions.
