Take a trip to Destiny Hill Farm in Washington, PA, next weekend for a truly unique dinner party! The berry and cut flower farm south of Pittsburgh is known for as a destination for weddings and other stunning events, and now they’re hosting a ‘Field to Vase’ dinner set on Saturday, June 24.

‘Field to Vase’is a traveling dinner series, hosted by American Grown Flowers, a national organization that helps promotes the growth of domestic flowers and foliage, as almost 80% of flowers sold in the US are imported.

The organization selects member flower farms across the country to host these dinners. Other upcoming dinners include meals in Alaska, Virginia, and Florida. These events are also educational, as each farm selected also provides the guests with more information on flower farming.

For the Destiny Hill Farm dinner, guests have the opportunity to purchase a VIP experience that includes a farm tour from owner Jim Cameron, and a VIP reception before the meal.

Additionally, floral designer Francoise Weeks of European Floral Design will be designing the centerpieces for the meal,  featuring branches, buds, succulents, herbs and seasonal flowers. Weeks is known for using unique floral materials for arrangements.

The meal will feature locally grown food, beer, and wine, served by a farm-to-table chef. The lavender will be in full bloom, giving guests the opportunity to dine while being surrounded by the sweet fragrance of fields of lavender.

The dinner runs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $175 for the dinner, and $200 for the dinner and a farm tour. The event will be held rain or shine, as the Destiny Hills Farm includes a show barn. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit the event page.
