If you missed out on trying Soba’s early-summer Farm Dinner tasting menu earlier this year, you’re in luck – they’re giving you another chance.
The late-summer Farm Dinner series continues from now through Friday, August 28.
The four-course farm-to-table tasting menu features seasonal produce from local farmers and purveyors, and costs $40 per person, with an additional $25 per person for wine pairings.
On the menu:
First Course:
- Five-spice roasted eggplant, rice cracker
- Duck egg chawanmushi, duck crisp, scallion
- Uni toast, corn relish
Wine pairing: La Forcine Vouvray, Loire Valley, France 2013
Second Course:
- Spicy Tuna and Burmese summer melon salad
- Avocado, cucumber, pole beans, preserved plum, jalapeno, Napa cabbage, herbs
Wine pairing: Ranga Ranga Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2014
Third Course:
- Korean-fried Branzino
- Tomato broth, banana peppers, cilantro, radish, corn cake, sorrel
Wine pairing: Chateau Julien Chardonnay, Napa, California, 2013
Fourth Course:
- Peach and blackberry cobbler, mint crumbles, peach ice cream
