Farm dinner season is almost here! Frankferd Farms is getting in on the action this summer with the introduction of a new Farmer’s Fork Dinner Series, a monthly dinner on Ferderber Farm in Valencia, featuring a local Pittsburgh chef.
Each event kicks off at 6:00 p.m., with a cocktail prepared by Wigle Whiskey, live local music, appetizers, and a tour of the organic farm. When the dinner bell rings, guests will make their way to the Ferderber’s 125-year old barn for a meal prepared using local and regionally-sourced ingredients, with beer and wine pairings from War Streets Brewery and Narcisi Winery.
On the schedule:
June 25: Randita’s Organic Vegan Café, preparing a vegan menu
July 23: 412 Food Rescue, preparing a vegetarian meal made from rescued food
August 20: Franktuary, with meat and vegetarian options
September 24: Spak Brothers, with meat and vegetarian options
Depending on the event, tickets range from $80 to $95 per person, and each dinner is limited to 50 people.
