We love it when national publications celebrate some of our favorite Pittsburgh businesses!
Food & Wine Magazine has just released their 2021 list of the best bagels in America, naming nearly 50 bagel shops and eateries from coast to coast.
And Pittsburgh’s very own Pigeon Bagels made the list!
The magazine vaunted the Squirrel Hill bagel shop, sharing that owner Gab Taube turns out “shiny, golden-brown bagels with a pleasing height to them, bagels any city would be lucky to have at their fingertips.”
They also note that Taube’s pumpernickel bagel, stuffed with cream cheese and paired with Redhawk coffee is “the perfect modern Pittsburgh breakfast.”
Certified kosher Pigeon Bagels is currently open Wednesdays through Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for online-only, same-day ordering. Orders are currently limited to two dozen bagels per person, and flavors include Plain, Sesame, Garlic, and Everything. Tubs of cream cheese, drinks and assorted baked goods (like rugelach and vegan glazed cinnamon rolls) are also on the menu.
