Dreams do come true… a taco and wine festival is coming to Pittsburgh this April!
The Wine and Taco Fest will take place on Saturday, April 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
Tickets are not required for entry, but guests will need to purchase a tasting glass to sample the wine. Tacos will be sold à la carte.
Some of the participating taco vendors include:
Vagabond Tacos
Oakmont Barbeque Company (serving brisket tacos with pickles from the Pittsburgh Pickle Company)
PGH Crepes (taco crepe)
Mobile Chef (burritos)
PGH Halal Truck
Vendors will be using ingredients from local farms, such as Hillside Orchard Farms.
The wine and spirits will mostly be from PA marketers.
The event is being held by Pittsburgh Regional Alliance Of Food Trucks and Vagabond Taco Truck. When asked about the inspiration for the event, Michael Madigan, who runs both organizations, says, “It seems like tacos and wine are a perfect marriage.”
He notes that this is the kickoff event for the food truck festival season, and anyone looking for information on upcoming festivals should be sure to checkout Pittsburgh Regional Alliance Of Food Trucks.
