This weekend, have brunch with Santa at the Commoner, sample two new spirits at Wigle Whiskey, and sing some carols at Hough’s.

Friday, December 15

Grand Re-opening at Huszar
Huszar, the North Side’s traditional Hungarian restaurant, is introducing a new chef with a Hungarian Christmas buffet. Expect goulash, Chicken Paprikash, sweet and savory crepes, and more. (Huszar, 627 E. North Avenue)

Chrismukkah Double Release Party at Wigle Whiskey
Wigle’s annual mashup celebration of Christmas and Hanukkah will feature the release of two special spirits, Demeter Landlocked and Northern Exposure Whiskey. Santa will be around to spread some holiday cheer, and your $10 ticket gets you mulled cider, eggnog, and tasting samples – plus some ornament making and dreidel-spinning, too. For tickets, visit the event page.

Saturday, December 17

Pancakes with Santa at the Commoner
Take the kids to a holiday brunch at the Commoner, then head up to the roof of the Hotel Monaco for pictures with Santa and his reindeer. They’ll also have plenty of family-friendly events, like cookie decorating, ornament making, a hot cocoa bar and holiday cocktails for adults. Reservations are $38 for adults and $18 for kids. Visit their event page for more information.

Popup Brunch at Bantha Tea Bar

Bantha Tea Bar is teaming up with Sweet Little Eats for a popup brunch buffet, featuring everything from Biscuits and Chicken Gravy to Raspberry and Goat Cheese Strata. Seats are $20 per person, and $10 for kids. See the full menu on their event page. (Bantha Tea Bar, 5002 Penn Avenue)

Sunday, December 18

Caroling and Craft Beer at Hough’s
Sing your heart out at Hough’s second annual ‘Caroling and Craft Beer’ event, starting at 4:30 p.m. Reservations are filled for tables, but spots at the bar are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. See more on their event page.

Lunch with Revival Chili at Black Forge Coffee House

Warm up with a bowl of chili at Allentown’s Black Forge Coffee House on Sunday. The cafe is hosting Revival Chili, a mobile chili business that uses locally-sourced produce, from noon to 4:00 p.m. For more, visit the event page. (Black Forge Coffee House, 1206 Arlington Avenue)

Yappy Holidays Market at Ace Hotel
Your four-legged friend is welcome at the Ace Hotel for a holiday shopping market, with gifts for humans and dogs alike. Brunch will be available for both people and pups, and they’ll have a Bloody Mary Bar, pet activities and more. See more on their event page.
