Sustainable Sipping
Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is hosting the July edition of their Sustainable Sipping series at the Frick Environmental Center this Friday, July 14. This month, this 21+ event will feature live music from Buffalo Rose, cocktails from Red Star Kombucha, terrarium building, and an insightful presentation on air quality by the University of Pittsburgh. Tickets can be purchased online. Can’t make it? Future events in this series will be held on August 11 and September 8.
Deutschtown Music Festival
It is time again for the Deutschtown Music Festival! This free event includes 200 bands on 28 stages (8 outdoor stages), plus over 20 food vendors and a beer garden. Taking place all over the North Side, check out food trucks like La Palapa, the Pittsburgh Po’boy, Stickler’s Ice Pop, Zeke’s Coffee and more. Summer Beerfest at Stage AE
Hundreds of American craft beers, live music and food trucks at Stage AE? Sounds like a pretty great time! Guests of the 5th annual Pittsburgh Summer Beerfest will get all of this and more. Enjoy beer for a good cause – a portion of proceeds from this event will go to the Animal Rescue Partners and their local partner Biggies Bullies of Pittsburgh. Tickets are still available for sessions on both Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15.
Paint Night @ The Hideout
Local artist Baron Batch is hosting a paint along night at his “Hideout” in Homestead. All creatives are welcome for a unique art experience. Enjoy two hours of collaborative creating and painting, accompanied by food and drink. This event is BYOB. Tickets can be purchased online.

I Made It! Market Mini at Whole Foods East Liberty
Pittsburgh favorite “I Made It! Market” is taking over the Whole Foods in East Liberty this Saturday. Six local artists will be selling their goods from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. There will also be live music, product demonstrations, and food from Whole Foods. More information can be found online.
Herbal Syrups, Shrubs, and Sodas
Learn more about syrups and tonics with this class from Bridgets Apothecary. Guests will receive more information on how seasonal fruit, herbs, and vinegar, can make hydrating and healing beverages. Tickets can be purchased online.
A Taste of Sustainability Tour
The second session of Food Guy Adventures Pittsburgh Sustainability Tour is taking place this weekend. Tour the Cultural District, and enjoy seasonal food and cocktail pairings at three of the area’s premiere sustainability focused establishments. This tour also gives an inside look at the sustainable practices being implemented in these restaurants. Tickets can be purchased online.
CB After Hours: Coffee Buddha-haha
Head to Coffee Buddha on Saturday night for a 21+, BYOB stand up comedy show. There will be a mocktail menu available to those that bring spirits. More information can be found online.

2017 Polish Hill Arts Festival
It is the 10th anniversary for the Polish Hill Arts Fest! This year there will be 30+ artists, live music, activities, and fantastic food – Driftwood Oven pizza, Onion Maiden vegan comfort food, Blacksheep Barbecue, and Polish Hill’s own Lili and Liliput Cafes. Small Ice Cream Shop Competition
Pittsburgh classic Klavon’s Ice Cream Parlor is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with a block party on 28th Street in the Strip, and a competition to find the best small-shop ice cream in America. Klavon’s has brought in ice cream celebrity judges from Brooklyn and L.A. to sample ice cream applicants from all 50 states. The winner gets $10,000 and some sweet bragging rights. Shot and a Beer Summer Sundays
Every Sunday, at the Wigle Whiskey garden on the North Side, Wigle features a different local brewery. They will be pouring that beer, featured in $10 boilermakers from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. More information for this event can be found online.
