From a grilled cheese party to a Deutschtown Bar Crawl, it’s going to be a fun (and chilly) weekend in Pittsburgh.

Friday, November 10

Grilled Cheese Party at Relish Co.
Relish is hosting a popup at 303 Pearl Street, with a full menu of vegan comfort food, including special grilled cheese sandwiches, creamy soups, and hot glazed doughnuts. The party is happening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Serenity Hill Farm Dinner at Lidia’s Pittsburgh
Lidia’s Pittsburgh in the Strip District is teaming up with Serenity Hill Farms for a five-course prix fixe dinner. Tickets are $50 per person, with an optional $30 wine pairing. For the full menu, and make reservations, visit the event page.

Shake, Shahr & Snow Fresh Can Release at East End Brewing Company
It’s a big weekend for beer fans. East End Brewing Company is releasing two seasonal cans this weekend. On Friday, head to the brewery for the release of Chance A’ Shahrs, a hazy Pale Ale brewed with Australian and New Zealand hop varieties. And on Saturday, they’ll be releasing Snow Melt Winter Ale, one of their most popular winter ales, in cans. See more on their event page.

Saturday, November 11

Wine & Cheese Festival at Blueberry Hill Park
Blueberry Hill Park is hosting a Wine & Cheese Festival, where guests will be able to compare and rate homemade and commercially-produced wines, while enjoying accompanying cheese. Tickets for Franklin Park residents are $25 per person, and $30 for non-residents. Visit the event page for more information.

Deutschtown Bar Crawl
If you want to be part of a loosely-organized, just-come-for-the-fun-of-it bar crawl in Deutschtown, now is your chance. The folks behind the Deutschtown Music Festival are hosting the bar crawl, which kicks off at 6:30 at Monk’s Bar at the Priory, and hits 11 other bars in the area, until ending the night at YMR Club. Pizza Dojo 4 at Spirit
Pizza Boat and Driftwood Oven are getting together for a little friendly competition in the Spirit parking lot for some head-to-head pizza slinging from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. See more on the event page.

Sunday, November 12

Kafumann’s Department Store Book Launch Party
A new book is being released about the former Kaufmann’s downtown, and the authors are celebrating the release with a free party. Join authors Linn Gutowski and Rick Sebak from WQED under the Kafumann’s clock for a book release party… and grab an Arcade Bakery thumbprint cookie while you’re there!

Homebrewers Competition at Threadbare Cider
Want to try some of the best home brewing that Pittsburgh has to offer? Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider are hosting a homebrewers competition at Threadbare’s new cidery. Tickets are $20 and includes entry to the event, beer sampling, a barrel-aged cocktail and a Wigle snifter glass. Find out more on the event page.

Brazilian Pop-Up Brunch at Plate & Bowl
 Local blog Keyla Cooks is hosting a Brazilian pop-up brunch at Plate & Bowl this Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring a buffet-style brunch with pão de queijo waffles, corncake, pot pies, fresh fruit and more. More information can be found on the event page.

Don’t Be Shy About Pie Class at East End Food Co-op
Learn how to make homemade pies from Auburn Meadown Farm’s Jackie Cleary. The class is $15 per person, and will include preparations of Mini Pork Empanadas and Rustic Apple/Pumpkin pies. Plus, Slow Food Pittsburgh will be on hand to present two festive holiday mince pies. See more on the event page.

Farm Benefit Brunch with Kevin Sousa
Head to Garfield Community Farm for an outdoor cooking experience with Superior Motors’ Kevin Sousa. Sousa will be firing up the farm’s earthen cob oven to teach attendees how to prepare a one-of-a-kind autumnal Sunday brunch. Tickets are $100, and include brunch and drink pairings.
