Ales on the Allegheny
Kittanning is getting its very first beer festival on Friday, October 13. Breweries, food trucks and live music will be at this 21-and-over event. Tickets are $20, and can be purchased online.
Cuban Night at Arsenal Cider House
Starting at 5:00 p.m., Lawrenceville’s Cider Garden is turning into a Havana hot spot! They’ll have music by Miguel Sague and Guaracha, along with Cuban food from Heavenly Cuisine. More info can be found online.

Millvale Food Truck Roundup
Grist House and Draai Laag Brewing Company are teaming up for a food truck roundup, with 10 trucks parked between the two breweries in Millvale. You’ll find Gaucho Parilla Argentina, PGH Po’Boy, Franktuary and more. Check out the event page for more details.
The Chocolate Bar at the Benedum Center
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is hosting a carnival of chocolate at the Benedum Center, featuring chocolate-infused creations from Pittsburgh chocolatiers and restaurants, including A519 Chocolate, Mon Aimee Chocolat, The Commoner, Sarris Chocolate, Sinful Sweets and Butcher and the Rye. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online.
Squirrel Hill Oktoberfest
Uncover Squirrel Hill is hosting the very first Squirrel Hill Oktoberfest, a self-guided beer tasting experience in the Squirrel Hill business district from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Guests will be able to visit participating businesses for a beer tasting, including Hidden Harbor and Independent Brewing Company. Tickets are $25 and more information is online.
Variety Hour: Multiple Choice, Locally Sourced at the August Wilson Center
Enjoy a fun night out with WQED’s Rick Sebak as he hosts a Variety Hour, featuring some of the best acts that Pittsburgh has to offer, showing off their skills at creativity in 10 minutes or less. The event will also feature a food truck roundup, with free entry. Check out the event page for more.

Stanton Hops Release Party
The Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association and Hops on Lots Pittsburgh is releasing “Stanton Hops” a beer created by Roundabout Brewery using hops grown in greenspace along Stanton Avenue – and you’re invited to try it. Tickets are $10 and include your first beer, light refreshments, and live music. See more online.
Fire Cider Class at Juju
Learn to make traditional folk remedy fire cider, which is used to improve digestion and build seasonal immunity, at Juju. Bring a quart-sized mason jar, and you can take home your own full jar of this spicy concoction. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online.
