After months of anticipation, Heirloom Superfood Market is officially open in the Strip District.
The new market from the owners of the Pittsburgh Juice Company will feature gluten-free, dairy-free and processed sugar-free products, along with organic produce, bulk superfoods, nuts, local small-batch goods, and hard-to-find healthy ingredients, like blue-green algae. Brands sold at the market will include products from Pure Grub, Mylk Labs, Frontier Cultures and more.
Brother-and-sister team Zeb and Naomi Homison have been working on the project, which is located in the space that once housed the 31st Street Pub, for more than two years. Since they bought the building, it has been used as a production facility for the Pittsburgh Juice Company, which will keep its retail space in Lawrenceville.
Heirloom Superfood Market will also host healthy-living workshops and events in the space above the market, as well as an upcoming raw vegan dinner series on July 26 and August 26.
Follow the market on Instagram and Facebook for updated information on opening hours, events and more.
