Just in time for warmer weather (at least we hope), Squirrel Hill’s popular tiki bar Hidden Harbor has released a brand new menu.

In addition to a beautiful redesign, the menu also features four new drinks, including three original cocktails.

First to look out for is the Rum Old Fashioned, made with the bar’s very own Hidden Harbor (13-year old cask-strength) St. Lucian rum.

There are also three new original cocktails, Josie’s Faraway Vacation (a returning menu favorite), the Passa Passa, and the Ray Gun.

Descriptions of these drinks are as follows:

From Hidden Harbor’s Instagram:
“Inspired by Jamaica’s sorrel tea and named for a Kingston-based street party, it combines a trio of Jamaican rums (Coruba Dark, Smith & Cross, and Hamilton Jamaican Pot Still Blonde, if you‘re curious) with fresh-pressed lime and pineapple juices, hibiscus, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, and bitters, for a bright-red, sweet-tart, sneaky-strong ode to Jamrock.”

From Hidden Harbor’s Instagram:
“Loosely based on the template of the classic Fog Cutter, it features a blend of three unaged spirits (gin, pisco, and cachaca), together with lemon, pineapple, passion fruit, and orgeat, and comes topped with sparkling wine.”

“It combines Batavia arrack and Jamaican rum with curaçao, lime, coconut milk, basil, Thai chili, ginger, and mint, and is sort of like a Thai-spiced coconut-milk Mai Tai.  The Josie’s was part of our opening menu, served from our frozen drink machine in a Pearl Diver glass, but now comes shaken and served in a ceramic bamboo mug with a ti leaf, orchid, and candied ginger,” says Hidden Harbor co-owner Adam Henry.

And last but certainly not least in terms of menu updates, the bar has also added three new drinks (!) to their Happy Hour menu.

You can now get the bourbon-based Western Sour, the Wray & Ting, and the Pineapple Daiquiri for 1/2 off during happy hour, Tuesday- Friday from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Cheers!
