Squirrel Hill, get ready to party!
On Sunday, August 25 at 3:00 p.m., Hidden Harbor and Independent Brewing Company will be taking over Shady Avenue with their very first Luau.
At the event, you’ll find a pig roast and paella cookout, a selection of tiki-inspired cocktails from the crew at Hidden Harbor, and a deep list of tropical beers from the Independent’s extensive draft list.
Independent’s executive chef Jamilka Borges will be joined by San Francisco chef Tim Eelman to create a Puerto Rican-style pig roast, served alongside a tropical paella, with sauces and sides, including tropical slaw, Hawaiian rolls and a special dessert. There will also be a grilled avocado and vegetable option for those who are meat-averse.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance (and can be purchased here), and $30 at the door. Tickets include a large plate of food, and drinks will be pay-as-you-go. Diners will be able to take their dinners to either Hidden Harbor, or the Independent, and both bars will be open to the public from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
