There will be two sessions of 300 people.
Kenny Gould, Pittsburgh resident and editor and co-founder of Hop Culture, is excited to bring this event back to the city.
“Before every festival, people line up outside the venue. My partner and I personally check-in every single person, and right before we open the gates, we do 10 second countdown,” says Gould. “It’s an awesome, exciting moment — these events take months to plan, and I love that feeling seconds before an event when I know I’ve done everything I can to give people the best experience possible, and that whatever is happening in the country or world, these few hundred people are about to have a terrific time.”
Guests are also encouraged to bring a bag with up to two four packs, four growlers/crowlers, or four bottles to trade.
Additonally, two weeks before the party on March 3, Hop Culture is hosting another beer event in Pittsburgh.
This event is called “Farmhouse to Table,” and is an intimate beer and food tasting. Guests will have the chance to taste farmhouse ales from five breweries paired with small plate dishes.
Local chefs Ryan Peters of brunoise and Bethany Zozula of The Whitfield will be creating the small plates with ingredients from Who Cooks for You Farm.
“When we decided to do a farmhouse event, we said, “Who’s producing the best farmhouse beer in the country, and who has the potential to make great farmhouse beer in the future?” It wasn’t hard to pick Oxbow, Blackberry Farm, LIC Beer Project, Scratch, and our hometown favorite, Dancing Gnome,” says Gould.
Tickets for Farmhouse to Table can be purchased online.
