Every year on the Sunday before Memorial Day, Kaya hosts a raucous block party on Smallman Street with free live music, Samba dancing and Kaya street food.
As the annual kickoff to summer in Pittsburgh, the party fills Smallman Street music, Caribbean inspired food and great vibes. Acts include funky reggae, folky Americana, and fresh alt-rock.
KayaFest 2019 will be held on Sunday, May 26, from 12:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M. The festival is free and open to all ages. It is held on Smallman Street in front of Kaya restaurant.
The outdoor street food menu includes:
