Epiphany was on January 6, and Prantl’s Bakery marked the occasion with the launch of their King Cake season.

For a limited time, they’re offering their delicious cake, made with a Danish bread-like dough, braided with a sweet filling, and topped with icing at their Shadyside store. Each cake is baked with a baby Jesus figurine inside, and (according to Prantl’s tradition) whoever gets that slice gets to buy the next cake.

Prantl’s King Cakes are available with cinnamon, nut, or strawberry filling, and are $15.99 each – and, you can purchase them online.
