Restaurants? Check. Breweries? Check. Distillery and tasting room? Check!
A new distillery is in the works in Lawrenceville. The company, named Lawrenceville Distilling Co., will be joining Pittsburgh’s ever-expanding libations scene in 2018.
The company plans to begin distilling their first product, Parking Chair Vodka, within the next month. Once available, the vodka will be rolled out through select bars in the Pittsburgh area, and will also be available for retail sale at the distillery.
The company also has plans to eventually produce an authentic green absinthe from an original pre-prohibition French recipe. Â
“We expect to add a gin to the line with other products, and to open our retail tasting room at the distillery in 2018,” says co-founder Dave Harmon.
The company will be operating with two 80-gallon copper Alembic Stills imported from Portugal, as well as a 50-gallon flute still hybrid.Â
Keep an eye on the company’s Facebook and Instagram pages for updates as the business moves forward.
