
Tomato season is upon us, and Lidia’s Pittsburgh is celebrating with their annual Tomato Dinner.
The super-popular event will take place on not one, but two days this year: Wednesday, August 24 and Wednesday, August 31.
Each dinner includes five courses of tomato-infused dishes, with an additional optional wine pairing.
On the menu:
Antipasti
- Tomato Elixir
- Rice and Montasio-filled Tomato Crostini with Crab, Tomato and Horseradish
- Tomato & Fresh Oregano Fritters
- Flor Rose Prosecco
Insalate
- Heirloom Tomato Mosaic with Burrata and Basil
- Rosato, Bastianich
Pasta
- Ricotta Gnocchi with Sausage, San Marzano Tomato, Wild Fennel
- Sangiovese, La Mozza
Entrée
- Battutina of Beef Tenderloin, Heirloom Tomato, Mozzarella and Garlic Fonduta
- Aragone, 2010 La Mozza
Dolce
- Basil and Sweet Corn Ice Creams with Candied Green Tomatos and Corn Meal Crunch
- Coffee and Grappa service
Seats are $55 per person, and $30 for wine pairings. Each dinner will start at 6:30 p.m.
