It’s such a shame that Sunday brunch only comes once a week.
Eggs, bacon, French toast… there’s nothing about this meal that we don’t like. And our friends at LOCALpittsburgh have rounded up the absolute best brunch options in town, with picks that will please any palate.
What’s on their list?
Habitat: With House-Smoked Salmon, Eggs Benedict, and the best juice bar around (with choices like watermelon pineapple, carrot ginger, mixed berry, orange, and spinach-apple-celery), Habitat has become the brunch spot downtown. Don’t miss their Pork Belly and Eggs dish, comprised of thick-cut braised pork belly, potato pancakes, and fried eggs. Paired with a side of broccolini, it’s a perfectly coordinated plate of healthy, and oh-so-decadent options.
They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room: Known best for their amazing wood-fired pizzas, Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room also puts on quite a proper brunch. You’ll find their classic Margherita pie on the menu, along with a house-made Cinnamon Waffle (served with homemade seasonal fruit preserves), Steak & Eggs Benedict, and Fritta Di Verdura, made with organic eggs, oven-roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions, and fresh herbs. Plus, their Sunday cocktail menu makes day drinking so, so, fun.
You can get brunch at Proper on Sundays only, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
