Missing the lunch service at Meat & Potatoes? You’re in luck… at least on Fridays.
The Deshantz Restaurant Group has announced that they’ll be testing the concept for a potential new restaurant every week at the downtown spot.
The group (which also owns tako, Pork & Beans, and Butcher and the Rye) is currently workshopping a fried chicken restaurant, set to be called Coop de Ville, for lunch on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Meat & Potatoes.
Each week’s lunch menu includes different takes on fried chicken and fried chicken sandwiches, (like ‘The Southern’ and ‘The Korean’), which could make their way to the menu at Coop de Ville once it’s open.
Pittsburgh Magazine reported last May that Deshantz was planning on opening two new restaurants in the former Salt of the Earth space on Penn Avenue in Garfield, so there’s a chance Coop de Ville will be located there. We’ve reached out to the Deshantz Restaurant Group, and will update with more information when it comes in.
