A new business has opened its doors on Cochran Road in Mt. Lebanon.
Mel’s Petit Café is an authentic crêperie from Burgundy, France native Mel Streitmatter. The café’s opening menu includes coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and hot chocolate, and a selection of made-to-order sweet crêpes and savory galettes.
On the savory side, you’ll find a variety of whisper-thin buckwheat galettes, including:
- La Complète: Ham, Swiss & Egg
- La Béchamel: Béchamel sauce & Ham
- La Caprese: Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto
- La Nordique: Cream cheese, dill & Smoked salmon
Sweet crêpe fillings include Nutella, berry jelly, bananas and chocolate, and apple sauce, cinnamon and salted caramel.
Seasonal items will also appear on the menu regularly. Prices range from $4.50 to $11.40 for crêpes and galettes.
Mel’s Petit Café is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
