We all scream for soft serve!
The popular Pittsburgh ice cream company Millie’s Homemade is expanding into the world of soft-serve ice cream this summer. In addition to their Downtown and Shadyside locations, the brand is opening a summer pop-up in Bakery Square, dubbed “Summer of Soft-Serve.”
The shop is located in the former Coffee Tree Roasters space in Bakery Square, and will officially open Monday, May 20.
Guests can expect six flavors of homemade dairy and vegan soft-serve, waffle cones, floats, and more! Throughout the summer the shop will have a rotating collection of flavors, and activities like a cornhole competition.
This is Millie’s first foray into soft-serve, as the shop traditionally offers ice creams, sorbets, & gelatos.
The company also has locations off Market Square and on Highland Avenue, and sells pints at Giant Eagle Market District, East End Food Co-op, Bryant Street Market, Mon Aimee Chocolat, Allegheny City Market, B Gourmet, Sunny Bridge Natural Foods, Adesso Coffee Shop, T-Bones Marketplace, and Silver Horse Coffee.
They are known for flavors like Chad’s Vanilla Ice Cream, Dulche de Leche, Vietnamese Coffee, and more.
In more exciting news, Millie’s is also in the process of opening a third location on Butler Street in Lawrenceville, across the street from Franktuary and next to Piccolo Forno.
