Today marks the official start of the holiday – the opening of the Miracle Pittsburgh holiday pop-up bar!
This year’s pop-up bar will open today at 4:00 p.m. at 705 Liberty Avenue, in what was once Katie’s Candy Store.
According to Spencer Warren, a cocktail consultant and owner of downtown hotspot The Warren who has overseen the Pittsburgh Miracle pop-up since it started in 2016, this year’s pop-up bar “will be like Christmas threw up everywhere.”
Expect ornaments and garland hanging from the ceiling, gift-wrapped walls, snowmen and tinsel all over the newly-constructed bar. All of the cocktails are holiday-themed, like the Jingle Balls Nog and the Gingerbread Flip. You can see the full cocktail menu here.
The Miracle concept was created five years ago at the New York City cocktail bar Mace. Now, there are more than 80 Miracle pop-up bars around the world, each donating the bar’s proceeds to a different worthy cause. As in previous years, this year’s Miracle on Liberty will be raising money for 412 Food Rescue. Last year, the bar raised $15,000 for the organization.
The Miracle pop-up bar will be open daily and will run through New Year’s Eve.
