Chaz & Odette, a new restaurant from Chef Charles (Chaz) Smith and Chef Odette Smith-Ransome, will be taking over the former Toaste! Kitchen & Wine Bar space.
The Shadyside spot (located at 5102 Baum Blvd.) will provide multicultural cuisine, and the menu will find inspiration from the chef’s international travels throughout China, Europe and numerous Mediterranean countries.
The seasonal menu will feature both small plates and full entrees, and is slated to be open for lunch and dinner daily – plus, the duo (who met at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where Smith-Ransome was an assistant professor of culinary and hospitality management and Smith was a student) will also offer catering options, as a nod to Chef Chaz Smith’s catering company, Culinary Artist Catering Company, which he has run for the last 11 years.
Chaz & Odette will open in early fall.
