From now through Wednesday, June 24, celebrate the best sandwiches that the Northside has to offer with Northside Sandwich Week.
Restaurants and pubs throughout the Northside will be offering up specials on their signature sandwiches all week long.
Tickets to tonight’s Sandwich Sampler event are sold out, but you can try all of the sandwiches throughout the week at all participating restaurants.
A few of our favorite picks:
- Chateau Café & Cakery: The Oddjob, with slow-roasted pork on a house-made pretzel roll, served with sharp cheddar beer cheese sauce
- Modern Café: Greek Cheesesteak with grilled steak and onions, provolone, feta cheese and tomatoes
- James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy: The Deutschtown Italian, with salami, capicola, sopresatta, provolone, pepperoncini, lettuce, tomato and onion on grilled focaccia
- North Shore Café: Grilled chicken breast with pesto, sliced tomato, chevre cheese spread, field greens and balsamic glaze
- Nana’s New York Hot Dog Shop: The Northside Chili Dog, with Nana’s special chili sauce, onions, mustard, and hand-sliced dill pickles
This year, the Northside Sandwich Week is also sponsoring a guided bike tour on Saturday, June 20, with stops at this year’s restaurants, and samples of past winner’s creations.
