Cheers to a new spot in Downtown Pittsburgh!
Local favorite Penn Brewery has officially opened the doors to their brand new restaurant and taproom. The space, located on First Avenue, is open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M., and Sunday from 11:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
The brewery first announced their intentions to open a Downtown outpost in Pittsburgh’s Firstside Historic District in September of 2017.
Located on the first floor of the new First Ave. Lofts apartments, the space features 35 seats, 12 taps of Penn beer, growler fills, six-packs, and a menu of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.
The food menu can be viewed below:
An updated tap list can be found on Penn Brewery’s Facebook page and website.
The Penn Brewery Taproom is within walking distance of Boulevard of the Allies, the Distrikt Hotel, the PNC Firstside Center, and the First Avenue T station. In a release, Sandy Cindrich, Penn’s president and CEO says that the taproom and kitchen will be the only spot to serve its own craft beer within a four-block radius, and is the only brewery taproom in downtown Pittsburgh.Â
This is the third outpost for Penn Brewery, joining their main brewery in Troy Hill and location at the Pittsburgh International Airport in Concourse A.
