Are you an adventurous eater? Try something different this Monday night with an evening of traditional Nepalese cuisine – and it’s all for a good cause.
The Rukmini Foundation, a local non-profit organization that works to empower girls through education in Nepal, just had their third anniversary, and they’re throwing a big bash to celebrate.
On October 20, they’ll be partnering up with Bar Marco and Street Foods Pittsburgh for an evening of Nepalese food, and live acoustic music. They’ll also be screening the Steelers game, so you can keep one eye on the Black & Gold.
On the menu is a variety of traditional Nepali food, like Tibetan-style dumplings, Thali, and daal. Reps from the Rukmini Foundation will be on hand to chat about their work, and talk you through the menu. And, all of the proceeds from food sales for the night will support Rukmini’s programs.
Reservations aren’t required, but they’re strongly suggested, and can be made by calling 412-471-1900.
The event takes place from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
