Learn more about bees and beekeeping (and support the important work of urban beekeepers) at Burgh Bees Open Apiary on Saturday, June 27.

The monthly event gives guests a behind-the-scenes tour of the Homewood Apiary (6933 Susquehanna Street), with an educational session on all things bees, and a peek inside their beehives.

This month, members of the Penn State Master Gardner Program will be answering gardening questions for anyone who is thinking about building their own pollinator garden.

There’s a $10 suggested donation for the tour, and all guests are asked to bring long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toed shoes.

For more information, and to register, visit their event page.
