Pittsburgh’s gin options are expanding considerably today with the opening of Needle & Pin, a new restaurant featuring British and Indian cuisine from the people behind the popular Winghart’s Burger & Whiskey Bar restaurants.
“Needle & Pin,” which is old British Cockney slang for “pour me a gin,” aptly describes the restaurant, as one of the hallmarks of the establishment will be their 76-bottle gin menu.
The owners commented on their Facebook page that they “Set out to make a great fusion eatery with a cocktail bar that is Pittsburgh’s first gin-centric bar, but we ended up going even farther. Elements, and flavor combinations, and so much more never before, at least to our knowledge, seen in Pittsburgh are just through the door.”
NextPittsburgh reported that the dishes on the menu will range from British favorites, like bangers & mash and fish & chips, to Indian classic’s like tikka masala (served with an English biscuit).
Needle & Pin will open its doors on May 24 at 4:00 p.m.

Sounds great…!!! There’s an old established Indian Restaurant/Club in Kensington, London. Very “Old School” as if Kipling had just eaten there…From the colonial time of the raj…Bartenders in turbans & the servers in jodhpurs….Looking forward to seeing your place..,!!!
