Think you can only get good bourbon from Kentucky? Wigle Whiskey begs to differ.
On Friday, May 29, they’re releasing the first bottles of Pennsylvania Bourbon with a big release party. Unlike Kentucky bourbon, it’s made with local, organic Wapsie Valley open-pollinated corn, which gives Wigle’s bourbon a savory, full-bodied taste.
At the release party at in their Whiskey Garden (1055 Spring Garden Ave), they’ll have both 92 proof available for tasting, as well as two barrels of sing barrel, cask-strength bottles for sale.
Tickets are $25 per person, and include bourbon tastings, cocktails, birthday cake (Wigle is celebrating three years, too!), and live music. And if you’re hungry, Pittsburgh Taco Truck will be on hand with additional food for purchase.
