PGH Po’ Boy, the Cajun-inspired sandwich shop that used to be in the Pittsburgh Public Market, has been keeping busy with private events since the market closed in February. But on Sunday, they’ll be bringing their Creole fare back, and setting up shop in Greensburg.
They’ll be teaming up with Swing Truck (part of Bobby Fry’s culinary takeover of the town), Miss Meatball and the Funnel Cake Men and will be parked at All Saints Brewing Company for a lunchtime party – which means that you’ll have plenty of beer to wash down your meals, too.
PGH Po’Boy will be serving their Blackened Chicken and Grilled Shrimp Po’ Boys, and their Chicken & Andouille Gumbo. Swing Truck is stepping up with four different kinds of Fried Chicken legs and thighs (Green, Korean, Carolina and Hot Rub), served with peanuts and pickled ramps, plus a Lamb & Cheese crowd-pleaser and Noodle & Ramp pancakes. And the Funnel Cake Men will have Classic, Strawberries & Cream, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Oreos and Golden Oreos funnel cakes for dessert.
PGH Po’Boy’s Ben Dougherty says that for this event, they’ll be using the Swing Truck facilities, but we can expect to see their own PGH Po’Boy truck start rolling within the next few weeks.
The trucks will be on-site from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
