If you’re looking for fall fun this season, considering heading west to Fairfield County, Ohio!
Located just outside of Columbus, Fairfield has launched their inaugural “Trail of Scarecrows,” a spooky treasure hunt featuring hundreds of scarecrows made by local residents, businesses, and groups.
Over 200 lifesize scarecrows (and counting!) are decorating nine communities in Central Ohio as part of the Trail of Scarecrows. This is the first-ever county-wide trail of its kind.
The Trail of Scarecrows launched on October 1, and will run through October 31. Visitors can travel around Fairfield County to see the scarecrows, all accessible via Google Maps.
It is also possible to vote for your favorite online. The winner in each community will receive a “People’s Choice” award of $50, plus bragging rights.
More information can be found online.
Will this fun event cheer up 2020? We are planning a road trip in October and looking for something fun to do. This looks like it.
