One of Pittsburgh’s favorite food festivals has announced their 2019 date!
VegFest, Pittsburgh’s premiere vegan food and animal wellness festival, brings vegan food, vendors, music, animals, and more to Allegheny Commons Park East on the Northside of Pittsburgh.
The 5th annual festival will be held on Saturday, August 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As always, it’s free to attend!
An official vendor list is yet to be announced, but in the past, food vendors have included:
- Sugar Spell Scoops
- Tupelo Honey Teas
- Onion Maiden
- Blue Sparrow
- Kabocha Concept
- Sweet Alchemy Bake Shop
- Metro Croissants
- Pittsburgh Juice Company
- Good Chroma
- Pitaland
- Franktuary
- Fortuitea Cafe
- + more
Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and lounge out while enjoying the grub and live music.
In the past, VegFest has been a great platform for vegan food businesses to test recipes and gain a local following. Popular vegan ice cream supplier Sugar Spell Scoops debuted at VegFest 2016, and B52 Cafe tested recipes at the original VegFest before opening Lawrenceville the following year.
VegFest hosted by local non-profit Justice for Animals. Vendor applications for VegFest 2019 are open and can be found online.
