Vegans and vegetarians of Pittsburgh, unite.
On Saturday, August 22, the inaugural Pittsburgh VegFest will take place at Allegheny Commons East, celebrating Pittsburgh veganism with vegan food, local artisans, craft vendors and more.
The event is free to attend, and there will be plenty of vegan options for everyone (including meat-eaters!) to enjoy from a number of local food trucks and restaurants.

The family-friendly event will also feature booths from regional animal rescue and welfare organizations, plus fun for the kids, with a bouncy castle, face painting and other activities.
The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m., and runs until 5:00 p.m.
