Can’t wait until the end of summer to sample some of those fresh oysters, soon to be served at Merchant Oyster Co.? No worries – you’ll have a chance this Memorial Day, all while cruising down the Allegheny River for an epic yacht party.
Merchant Oyster Co., or, The Whale PGH, Pittsburgh City Paper, House Beer, Captain Morgan, Chandon USA and Round Corner Cantina are all teaming up to bring this one-of-a-kind p
arty to the city of Pittsburgh.
The event begins on May 29 at 3:00 p.m. sharp, when the boat leaves the dock. After a scenic cruise, the boat will return to the dock at 5:00 p.m., where the party will continue into the night – DJ’s, tiki cocktails, 40’z of Rose, Strawberry Mint Frose.
Chef Dennis Marron’s menu for the party includes:
- West Coast vs East Coast oysters with Barrel-Aged Hot Sauce & Pickle Pepper Mignonette
- Conch Ceviche – Bahamas Style
- Cucumber & Melon Salad
Tickets for the event range from $30 to $60 per person, depending if you include two Domaine Chandon Brut. More information can be found online.
