It doesn’t get much more Pittsburgh than this!
Mrs. T’s Pierogies and Primanti Brothers Restaurants have teamed up to create the sandwich of the summer – “The Polish Hill.”
For the first time in history, Primanti Brothers is swapping out their famous fries for another Pittsburgh classic – pierogies! This limited-time sandwich is inspired by Polish Hill, the one-of-a-kind neighborhood that neighbors the Primanti Brothers’ original location.
The Polish Hill sandwich is available now through mid-August 2018. The sandwich features kielbasa, provolone cheese, hot grilled slaw, beer mustard and tomato. And, instead of Primanti’s signature hand-cut french fries, the Polish Hill is piled high with Mrs. T’s Pierogies. All of this is sandwiched between two thick slices of Italian bread.
We stopped by the Market Square Primanti Brothers location on the day of the launch, and it was a great time! It was a delight to see pierogies sizzling on Primanti’s famous grills, and even better to enjoy them on our sandwich.

Biting into The Polish Hill was like taking a bite of Pittsburgh. The tender kielbasa perfectly balances the creamy pierogies, and the slaw adds the perfect amount of tart. It was smiles all around as the restaurant served sandwich after sandwich on their signature wax paper plates. This decadent sandwich proves that Primanti Brothers and Mrs. T’s Pierogies is the combination we’ve all been waiting for.
And if one (or two!) Polish Hill sandwiches didn’t soothe your pierogy cravings, you can also whip up delicious meals at home for friends and family with Mrs. T’s Pierogies. Available in more than 15 varieties – including mini pierogies! – these potato-filled pasta shells burst with flavor and are perfect served alone, or as part of your favorite recipes. You can find recipes like Mini Pierogy Slider Kebabs, Parmesean Mini Pierogy Fries and more on Mrs. T’s website.
