Today is a big day for Pittsburgh-based ice cream shake chain The Milk Shake Factory – all of their locations are officially back open for business.
The Milk Shake Factory closed operations in March in the midst of the pandemic, and since then, have been slowly reopening spots one by one. Starting today, their final location to open, Oakland, is back.
Locations that have opened earlier this summer include McCandless, South Side, Murrysville, Moon and Cranberry, with their Downtown and East Liberty locations both re-opening just a couple of weeks ago.
Each location is now offering their full menu, including some new additions, like the return of their super-popular Red Velvet Milkshake, made with red velvet ice cream, cream cheese frosting, hot fudge and whipped cream.
The company has introduced new safety guidelines in the midst of reopening, including hand sanitizer stations, social distancing markers, in-store capacity limits, cashless-only transactions, and masks required for service.
Daily store hours are from noon to 10:00 p.m.
