Pittsburgh chef and all-around good guy Keith Fuller of Root 174 doesn’t want anyone who works in a Pittsburgh kitchen to be alone this Thanksgiving – so he’s opening up his Regent Square restaurant to kitchen staff for the holiday.
For the last three years, Fuller has been hosting an industry Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving night. The restaurant is closed to the public, but open to anyone in the service and hospitality industry who can’t make it home for the holidays, and needs a place to go.
The cost of entry is a side dish, and a beverage to share – a bottle of wine, spirit, a 12-pack of beer, or a non-alcoholic drink of your choosing. Fuller will be making a turducken, and a few side dishes of his own, and the potluck dishes will round out the feast.
If you work in the restaurant industry and want to go, they’ll be taking RSVPs this week at 412-243-4348 to help planning purposes, but reservations aren’t required.
