Big news for fans of classic burgers, crinkle-cut fries, and hand-spun milkshakes: Shake Shack is coming to Pittsburgh.
The uber-popular New York City-based eatery is debuting its first Pittsburgh location at The Terminal in the Strip District, according to a news release.
“Pittsburgh friends – we know it’s taken far too long to bring Shake Shack to this dynamic city,” said Andrew McCaughan, Chief Development Officer at Shake Shack. “We are thrilled to land the first Shack in the Steel City at The Terminal in the iconic Strip District. We can’t wait to open our doors, welcome the community and serve our delicious, freshly made burgers and shakes in 2024.”

The original Shake Shack opened in New York City’s Madison Square Park in 2004 by restauranteur Danny Meyer, and since then, has expanded to more than 430 locations across the world. Known for their made-to-order beef burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, milkshakes and lemonades, the restaurant chain already has a dozen locations across the state, mostly concentrated around the Philadelphia area.
