Fall officially began at the end of September, but it was only this week that the weather began to feel like autumn.
Perfect timing for The Smallman Galley, which chose this week to release their new fall cocktail menu.
The bar is famous for picking different themes for their drink menus. Their summer menu – which was influenced by The Sandlot – was featured on Food & Wine and Liquor.com.
This fall, The Smallman’s menu is based on different mid-century pulp novels and comic book covers, and each drink is named after different book or comic title. The covers for these drinks are featured throughout the menu.
The menu is titled The Amazing Adventures of Smallman Galley, Issue 6., as this is the bar’s sixth cocktail menu since opening.
The cover was designed by, Stu Ohler, a graphic designer from Pittsburgh.
The pictures below, taken by local photographer, Graceful Fawn share a preview of what patrons can expect from the drinks:
Specific drinks on the menu include The Port of Peril with Quinta do Infantado tawny port, Cockburns ruby port, Maggie’s Farm La Revuelta dark rum, Boulard calvados, and Atxa white vermouth, and the Red Rouge with Corralejo reposado tequila, coconut cream, and Maggie’s Farm coffee liqueur.
The full menu can be found online.
In other Smallman Galley news, the CleveScene, a Cleveland, Ohio news site, announced that the Smallman team is planning on opening a location on ground floor of the Forest City Bank Building at the corner of W. 25th Street and Detroit Avenue in Cleveland. Opening is tentatively planned for the fall of 2019.
